So what exactly is ladder golf?  Today, this is one the most popular forms of outdoor golf, and it is certainly gaining popularity everywhere you look.  Here's a good explanation as to what ladder golf is, and how much fun you can have playing it.

For this game, you'll need an upright ladder that contains three steps.  Each leg of the ladder needs to be made with wood, and the stair steps made with medal.

The balls are known as bolas.  These are two golf balls that both of the same color and are connected by a piece of rope into the center of the ball.  You'll need at least two separate colors of bolas to play the game.

Here are the rules of the game and what you need to know in order to start playing effectively.  First of all, it is always played with either two or more players or teams. 

Each player will have three golf balls, and each of the golf balls attached by a rope.  The point of the game is to get your balls onto the steps of the ladder-hence the term ladder golf.  Each ladder is again is made of three steps, the top middle and bottom.

Here's how to play the game.  Before the game starts, a line has to be set five paces from the latter.  This is known as the toss line, and although the official line is 15 away, most players will measure five steps from a letter to set the toss line. 

This will allow for a closer toss, which will be useful when you are just starting out and aren’t that good at it. 

Each game is played in different rounds, and each round is made up of all players tossing their three balls.  A simple coin toss can be utilized to decide who will throw the ball first. 

The first player has to toss all three balls before the next player is allowed to toss there’s.  Whoever gets the closest to the ladder earns the first toss in the next round. 

The games are always played up to 21, and in order to win come you have to score exactly 21 points; not more than or less than that. Hopefully these tips and information help you enjoy a longtime of playing ladder golf with your friends and family.
